Default 95 mark5 4.6l 32 valve motor?

i just picked up a Mark5 with all alum 32 valve 4 cam 4.6L. looking to do a 87 to 93 fox swap with for my wife. is this motor worth a crap to start with? looking for around 400hp for a street car and some she can drive around. any help would be great. thanks Rich.

Yep, it's a slightly detuned Cobra motor with an iron crank. I swapped one into my 96 GT. Check out my sig for the guide. The biggest thing is changing out the 95 style intake to a 97 style Mark VIII intake, OR getting a 96-98 Cobra intake for it.

I think it has a teskid block which is the best block you can have. The cobra intake is what you need and higher lift cams and you are all set
