Starting issue!

Hey guys, I've got yet another problem with my 2000 Mustang GT. I had the theft light flashing problem and its been fixed a while. They replaced the computer. Anyhow Last night I decided to pull my car out of the garage to let some rain wash off some salt from this snow we've had here in NC. It started up fine last night, but when I went to start it this afternoon it started then just died. I try to crank it up again and it kind of stutters, then fires, then stutters, and feels like the motor is having trouble cranking over. I checked the oil and its got plenty. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. -Joe

Was the hood open when you put it out in the rain?

No, the hood was definitely closed. I gave it one last ditch effort before I went to push it back into my garage and I got it to fire up. It ran a little rough and then evened out. I took it up the road and it drove just fine, other than it being a little cold. I parked it back in my garage, turned it off, and then cranked it up again and it started just fine. I am noticing, and I've been noticing this for a while, a whining noise coming from the engine when I first start it up in the mornings. It kinda sounds like a centrifugal supercharger noise when I rev it up a little. After I drive it a little and warm it up the noise goes away. Thanks for the reply.

IMO you might have a vacuum leak.

Well, I guess its back to normal. It cranks up fine every day now -knock on wood- so I guess it solved its own problem. Guess there's always going to be these types of mysteries in the amazing line up of Ford Motor Company. haha. Happy Motoring, and thanks for the help.
