JT that made me want to puke. Im using the kb chip (supposed to be conservative) with a fresh mmr 600 so i hope i can give her everything aside from banging it off the rev limiter.

Coincidence i was in philly airport this morning when i saw southphillys post and i'm in rochester now JT. Damn its cold!
Well... the car in the video was running off the Kenne Bell chip too

With the amount of money you are investing, i would stay off the throttle until you have it tuned. I just wouldnt trust the "canned tune" if it were my car.

On street tires the only thing I do differently is ease into the throttle especially below 30mph. On the highway, if its not wet or cold like it is now, I'll just mash it. I can't remember if overdrive is supposed to be off when entering boost but its a habit for me. Traction control comes down to preference. I have it off for the track but not on the street but then I don't exactly have great tires. A lot you'll just have to get a feel for as you get more experienced.

I think control arms with help with wheel hop and help the tires catch. I only have springs so someone will have to chime in.

I think there was a conflict with the KB tune and the longtubes in that video.

I hear Kenne Bell tunes are conservative and generally safe, but i'm getting a custom dyno tune when i do mine.

The KB tune that comes with the kit is designed for a stock car + the blower bolted on. You SHOULD be fine if that is the case. At the very least i would pick up a wideband AF gauge to keep an eye on things. But ask yourself, is it worth the peace of mind to pay a few hundred bucks for a tune and KNOW its perfect or be cheap and risk your motor which costs thousands?

The car in the video put 4 holes in the block, at least it went out in style. Here is my fav pic i snapped that day lol piece of piston

I know kb is pretty adamant in their lit about using their tune, sounds like they have alot of dyno time with the 2v. I did spring for a fuel pressure and a boost gauge, but not the af.

KB doesn't sell the gauges anymore and say you don't need them. Kind of scary sounding being blind to whats going on with the fuel. I guess if you run lean that would that cause detonation you could hear or feel? Question is could you get out of it before causing damage, or would you already burn the piston?
