Need a new Serpentine Belt
Hey guys,
Its about time to replace my Mustangs serpintine belt. I'm planning on doing this myself and I was all set to order a new belt on American Muscle when I realized that the belts they have are either for 1996-1999 GTs or 2001-2004 GTs. I have a 2000 GT, so where does that leave me? Which one will fit my car?
Thanks!

According to Dayco (BTW, I highly recommend their Poly-Rib belts) the 2000 MY uses the 93.5" belt, same as the 2001-2004 GTs. Dayco's p;/n is 5060935.
The earlier models use a 97.5" belt.

Once the new one is installed, take the original and put in the trunk. This belt can save your **** if it breaks on the side of the road somewhere. This is the very first thing I always do when I get a car with such a belt.

Here's a link to a Motorcraft belt for a 2000 GT.

If you live near an Advance Auto, they have the Dayco belt that 'cliffyk' suggested for under $30.
