Default Possible air con leak in around evaporator.

I have noticed a green coloured discharge from the air conditioner water run off (could be a dye in the gas or radiator coolant).
My question is has any one had an air con or radiator coolant leak in or around the evaporator.

In another posting I commented on the centre air vents filling with foam this could be a result of some type of leak with in the air con / heater chamber.

you need to figure out witch it is first. does your air work? are you always low on coolant? get your cooling system pressure tested to see if there is a leak. start there. Then you will need to tear into it and fix it.

It sounds as though the heater core is leaking--the fumes from the propylene glycol will accelerate deterioration of the foam.

Stick your fingers in it, if it's sort of slippery with light pressure between you fingers then it's anti-freeze.

DO NOT lick your fingers, and wash your hands right away--it is poison!

Thanks guys just what I thought. I have had the car for just under 3 months and purchased it from a dealer in Australia the dealer has to warrant cretin defects for the first 3 months as the car is younger than 10 years and less than 160KM so I will see how I go. I had to flush out the air con core as it was full of foam and leaking water into the vehicle. So now I can no longer see any green stuff. Hopefully a pressure check will show something.

Fun fact: Combining Cigerette smoke and R34 Refrigerent = a close combination to nerve gas just like the stuff you hear about in WW1 Id suggest if your a smoker to stay clear from smoking and determining wtf that substance is...
