14.8 for a lightly moded gt is a little off. I pulled a 14.3 out of my stock auto, but that was on a great day with a well prepped track. Track and weather play a big part. I would try to get your 60ft times down to a 2.0 if possible. Keep practicing and those times will come down.

DA for the night?

Your times are pretty bad, your MPH is about 3mph off what a stock GT should run.

DA for the night??? what does that mean, never heard the expression.

my MPH was 3 low huh. wonder what the hell. i was getting a nice chirp out of 2nd and third. and as you can see from the numbers my 60 sucked. so im thinking shift points and launch. i was feathering it at about 1.5k. any advice would be appreaciated.

DO NOT FEATHER THE CLUTCH OUT...

i ran a 2.6 and a couple 2.4's feathering the clutch out from around 1500,, its not neary as quick as dumping the clutch and waiting for traction (at least in my experiance with 4.10s and bald winter tires)

as long as you have ANY tread on WHATEVER your running on, you should be fine dumping the clutch around 2K-3K just if you get too much spin, hold it steady, and dont apply any throttle till you feel first gear grab

by doing this i turned my ugly 2.6's and high 2.4's to a 2.226 60ft with like i said, bald tires that werent even meant for the track

good luck next time have fun too

so just dump it at 2.5K huh? i am running street tires and the tread is not great. its not bad but its far from great. i saw another guy in a stang right infront of me burn his tires up 1st and 2nd, all he had was a CAI, so i was being carefull. i didnt want to embarras myself like he did. but i guess from what im reading i did so anyway with a 14.8. atleast im here asking for help though right. so keep it coming guys.
