Default Horsepower gain V8

Hi, I just got a 2004 mustang convertible V8 5 speed MT, I would like to know what is the best tuner and cold intake. I also want to now what is the size of the stock muffler, I just want to cut the stock muffler and put a magnaflow for now.
If you guys have some other ideas how to gain some more power quick and easy let me know.
Thank you.

You should do a search as your questions have been covered over and over to death.

Your stock intake is actually technically a CAI and already pretty good; just replace the stock paper filter with a higher flowing K&N one. If you want to spend the couple hundred for just a bit more gain, the best intakes are probably the JLT and K&N.

Gears are a great "power" adder. Not necessarily horsepower but it makes the car pull a lot better. I've got 3.73s myself.

Gears and tune are your best bang for the buck.

I would go with FRPP 3.73's they are the best for street and strip.
Also replacing your restrictive stock exhaust is a great idea too.
Your stock h pipe has four cats on it which robs you of power.
A catted aftermarket h or x pipe only has two cats which is
much better or you could get a o/r h or x pipe if you don't have
emissions every year. You will fail emissions without cats on your mustang.
How are 3.73s the best for street and strip???? Without rear tire size you cannot even begin to make an assumption what would be the best ring and pinion. Not all states have emmission testing in refrenece to the last part of your post, and also a catted mid pipe definatly doesn't give alot of bang for the buck.
