yes. you can buy the afm chain retention tool but i would recommend that you just take it off. it is a little more work but you can adjust the timing while you have it off.. here is a link for the tool in question if you want to got that route.

+1 i recommend taking it off. You have a lot more room to work and it saves some stress, and if the timing chain came off of that banana clip you will have to take the timing chain cover off anyways. Use it as a chance to check and make sure everything looks good, check the chain and the banana clips and see what type of shape they are in.

Ive done a couple cam swaps on my car, and Ive done it both ways...the way without removing the timing cover is way faster, but man was I paranoid...IMO its worth the extra time to be able to see 100% whats going on in the timing area...

Ill give it a tray,I will have one of my friends to help out hold the chain tool and the sprocket when I change the cams,I hope everything gonna go smooth,if it workout good I will install a set of 262camp cams on my DD 2007 grand marquis to,I really looking forward that....
