boring a block?

Default boring a block?

i have my engine all torn down to the block and droped the block off at the machine shop right now. my question is should i bore it out a little. i was thinking 30 over. would this be a good benifit? any info would help!

boring the engine out should increase HP... and 30 over is not a little... as far as I know its the most you can do in these stock blocks...

I went .02 on mine. Going .02 or .03 over isn't going to add much if any noticeable hp gains, but it will make sure the cylinders are nice and round again when you reassemble everything. If you are looking for more gains from an overbore look into the ford racing boss block. It comes with a 3.700'' vs the stock 3.552''
