Default Ripples in Paint from racing

I took my 04 GT mustang to the strip two weekends ago and its all stock other than a non catted x and a cat back exhaust. It was a really hot day and the car was hooking up great so I was able to launch at around 4000 rpm without much wheel sping on street tires and I had a 60 foot time of 2.09 sec which is respectable for what the car is. I have notices waves in the paint behind the rear windows on the car though, particularly on the passenger side, is this just due to the inherent properties of the unti body construction. I was planning on getting sub frame connectors, but I didnt think I would need them until I did more to the car. Any suggestions on sub frame connectors and or the frame connectors they make to connect the strut towers to the firewall?

A little off topic, but what were your times?

Are you sure the rippling on the paint was not there beforehand and you just didn't notice it? I really don't think a stock GT could do something like that, I've never heard of that happening and there are Stangs out there well over 600HP.

Odd indeed.

I am positive they were not there before because I made note to check it out before I went to the track because I had talked to a guy with a grand national and he said it happened to his cars and was typical for those cars, so I just figured I'd check it out on my car not expecting anything. I mean no one would notice it unless it was pointed out, but the reflection is definately rippled now.

As far as my times went the first time I ran the car it was all stock and it was a cool dry night, and the car ran a best of 14.56 at 98.9mph. After the cat back and the x pipe was put on I ran it 8 times on a very humid day and it was about 95 deg. outside. THe guys that were there everyweek said the weather was effecting there times substantially. I still ran better though with a best of 14.35 but only at 96mph. My 60 ft time and et dropped, but the trap speed was down.

I don't see it happening with only a 2.0 60 foot time.

A friend of mine had it happen to him in his foxbody pushing over 300HP crank and he said it was common in the foxbody and I got the impression that it did not ocour in later models especially with mild HP/TQ/traction.
