RE: lookin at hearders
OK the first thing that you need to make a decision on (seeing that you already have a x pipe) is do you want long tube headers or shorties? If you do decide to get the long tube ones you will have to get a new x pipe also. Second, if you get long tube headders does you state have emissions testing, if so you will not pass the emissions tests with long tube headders. Once you have all that decided the next thing is price. The only thing that I can say for sure is when you do get headders get them cermanic coated it will help keep down engine compartment temps and last a long time.

I have Bassani mid-length headers.MMFF did a test with a full Bassani exhaust and got an increase of 17.3 HP and 17.4 TQ.This was on a stock GT.The Bassani X-pipe I have comes with adapters for the stock exhaust manifolds and straight through off road pipes you can install in place of the cats.If you have these same parts, long tubes shouldn't be too hard to fit with the X-pipe set-up you have. The long tubes,mid-length,and shorties are all a real PITA to install with the long tubes being the best for making HP so I would personally go with long tubes.Hooker, Kooks, and Bassani,I believe, are the only ones that will allow transmission removal without removing the headers first. This is no small consideration, the time involved will add several hundred dollars to the cost of replacing a clutch or torque convertor unless you have the equipment to DIY.
