One thing you could do is take your 12lb pulley to a machine shop and have them make you a slightly bigger one. They can do it very easily if they can use your original pulley as a jig. Also, you could call Procharger and ask them to send you a 10 pounder.

how much boost were u running on that S281 of yours?
If I stayed with 12 lbs (because it gets installed tomorrow, i dont have time to get a pulley made) and had a conservative tune to like 400-405 rwhp would that be okay on the car?
I meaured the diameter of the pulley, and its between 3.4-3.5 inches; but the previous owner is "positive" its for 12 lbs.

You need to switch pulleys for the boost to go down. On mine, I'm making 9-10 psi. You don't want to stay with the 12. You could conceivably be ok with it, as long as you didn't exceed 4500 rpm or so. Is a shop installing it for you tomorrow? Are they going to tune it? Are they going to tune it with the 12# pulley on it? I say don't tune it or drive it 'til you get the 10# pulley on it. My pulley is about 3.7 inches, and that's what you'll need.

Oh, and what did you mean by 'detuning' the car running 12 psi? There isn't really a way to. I guess you could run a lot less timing, but you'll want it tuned correctly with the 10 lb-er, so go that route. Call Procharger in Kansas and have them overnite you a 10 lb pulley. It might cost a few extra bucks, but you'll have it.

I had to cancel the install for personal reasons unfortunately.
I called procharger and they said that it would be AOK with the 12 lber. They said even at high rpm's, it woudl be fine for extended periods of time..are they dickin me?
Anyways, where else can I get the pulley, preferably a place I could order from online.
Also, what kind of oil do you use in urs?
