Default Blow Through or Suck-Through MAF on Turbo?

I am working on a 4.6 DOHC Single Turbo project... Should I put the MAF before or after the Turbo? Also, what are the benefits/disadvantages of each?

U want it to be blow thru so aftr the turbo in the boost pipe. And it needs to be placed on the straightesr section of pipe also.

Also make sure it's after the BOV. If you have the BOV behind it, you won't get correct readings if it's releasing pressure.

I'd put the BOV right after the intercooler and it's common to see the MAF in the pipe that leads to the TB. It's the longest straight piece of pipe in the system. Not only do you want it in a straight piece but you also want to make sure you're a decent distance from any turns, especially sharper ones. Bends can swirl the air through the meter and give you an incorrect reading. This also means for those of us with bolton cars that most CAI kits put the sensor in a horrible location.

blow-through. draw-through creates problems with the BOV if you vent to atmosphere because that air would be metered and the engine would think it has a vacuum leak.

the only reason i could ever see someone doing draw through would be for space requirements on smaller cars, and since we have plenty of that on our cars its not an issue.

essentially you want it to be turbo/BOV/intercooler/maf/Throttle body.

intercooler/BOV can be interchanged, but from what i hear its prefered if the BOV is before the intercooler. that being said, mine is after the intercooler and it works(ed) fine.

Actually I have run into a MAJOR snag...

The passenger side header hits the kmember BIG TIME...

I am not sure if a tubular kmember would even help...

I might have just gotten screwed with this turbo kit. What do you guys think?
