They're talking about the cam gears, not the cams themselves.

The mhs service lines up the cams and cam gears. They then provide a set of adjustable crank gears and directions on how to set them up. Nick says it gets your cams within about +/- 1 degree, which leaves your cams within about 2 degrees of eachother. It is definitely better to actually degree your cams, but their degree service is a he'll of a lot better than just throwing the cams in and just lining up the stock timing marks.

If they degree the cams and I just drop them in and line up all the marks with out setting the timing can I cause damage? What's the worst case senerio?
