Id go ahead and upgrade everything...cuz it seems like you're gonna be wanting more power down the road as well.

I would upgrade the diff as well as the axles in your situation. You can get a 31-spline diff for like $175 from Tousley Ford and a set of Alloy USA axles with studs/seals/bearings from summit for $229. With your power level, you aren't going to last long on the stock diff and sticky DRs. Mine lasted almost a whole season N/A with DRs/slicks until I snapped an axle.

+1 28s would be a waste if your gonna want more power. Just get a 31 spline setup.

So I should be good then with a new 31 spline diff., 31 spline axles, and the full seal kit. Anything else? For instance I've heard of ppl welding the axle tubes. What is the point/benifit in this? And assuming I am going to go with the hoosier DR's eventually is there a certain diff. and/or axles I should get to hold my power. Are there some that holsd up to certain power levels cause if i'm doing it i only wanna do it once and not waste the money to do it again. There really shouldnt be too much more power added stuff for a long while. My next goal is the suspension and hooking up what power I do have so i'm not just spinning tires and wasting it. Thanks guys for the responses

What kind of 31 spline diff. will best suite my needs? I know alittle but not much about diffs. My car will be a somewhat frequent daily driver but i want to take to the track alot too. I'm assuming I probly want a good limited slip not a posi? or are they the same?
