Haven't noticed much, if any, oil burn. I use Castro Syntec and change after every summer as I only put on about 2k each year because it sits in storage about 6 months out of the year

I was burning oil through a bad PCV valve. It was roughly a quart every 4k miles. Basically I was getting oil sucked into my intake. I replaced it and I haven't had a leak since.

8k miles is a long time to go without an oil change. Maintenance is essential to make your motor last as long as possible and oil is probably near the top of the list of importance. I change mine every 3k miles. My friend has a 99 gt and it was burning a little oil. He cold revved and sat on the limiter a lot... after a while of that it threw a rod. Had to throw an 04 motor in. Lottt of work

Not a drop. I change my oil once a year. Before I put it away for the winter.

I don't burn any oil at all, i thought i was burning oil on my 1995 gt only to find out that it was leaking out of the rear main seal. I would imagine that you would have a considerable amount of smoke out of your tailpipes if your burning as much as you stated, you might want to look a little closer for leaks

Never burned a drop of oil with mine. Changed it every 3k on the nose and always got exactly what I had put in into the drain pan.

"not a drop.. and i change it every 2 months"
"Not a drop...changed every 2500-3000"
"Never had such a problem myself. I always change oil/filter before 3k."
"I don't burn any but I change mine every couple months"
"Never burned a drop of oil with mine. Changed it every 3k on the nose"

Sorta' like a pattern here...

Funny how some trends actually make sense.

Once a year change here, I put maybe 4000 miles on it during that time. No oil burner
