How can you tell if you have the GT Premium Trim Level?
I have a 2002 Mustang GT, which seems to have just about every option including leather, remote trunk release, mesh pouch on the headliner, Mach 1000 sound system, etc. Is there any way to tell for sure if this is a Premium trim level, or just has the options?

This is the options matrix from the 2003 sales brochure.
In addition to the Premium trim level there was also an interior upgrade package (right column near the bottom) , available on all models, that added aluminum "finish" door lock *****, a metallic finish on the center console and shifter bezel, an aluminum (finish) shift ring, and stainless steel pedal covers with rubber grippy buttons...
That is the package mine has, though I did repaint the center console and shift bezel:

hmm, my 2002 GT might not have the Premium trim then if it should be the same as 2003. my interior is all black with no aluminum highlights, and I don't have the pine tree air freshener either.

The Premium trim is a different thing from the interior upgrade package; if you look at the matrix you'll see that the Premium model brought in premium wheels, leather seats, and the Mach 460 audio system (or optional Mach 1000).
You have to have the pine tree, it like a law--got muscle car, got pine tree...
I had one in my '63 Vette, '67 Camaro, and '69 Challenger Daytona (before getting married in 1970)--so when the kids got all moved out in 2006, and it was my turn to have a toy, it was the first "mod" I bought for my "new-to-me" Mustang...
