I myself own a 1996 gt, I bought it as the second owner with 130,000 miles on it. From what youre saying id stay away and look for another one. It just seems like it could be a Murphy's law car. Did you check the engine and all the fluids?, and she is asking way too much for the condition its in... if you do get it do not pay more then 2,000
