Should I working on fixing up my body, or throw some performance parts on there?

I NEVER pick looks over performance because I would feel like a poser if my car looked fast but gets stomped on by all these mid life crisis vets on the road!
That said the bumper needs to be fixed, that's too much. Unless you want to put a bra on it! [lol Don't!]
IMO if you drop gears that should keep you entertained until you can fix the rest.

i can understand scratches, dings, dents, not having time to wash it. but huge holes... just go to a junkyard, pull off a decent peice from a junked car or find someone who got a body kit and is getting rid of their stocker... even if the paint is ****. if you really want a specific color but dont have the cash, there's always the 300$ maaco job. sure its not the greatest, but hey i'd take that over some of the roller paint or bush paint or rattle can jobs i've seen.
if you're really into the DIY mode, you can get paint off of TCP global - its like 200-300$ a gallon for a kit of basecoat, clearcoat, and filters and sticks (alternatively you can go acrylic enamel which is WAAAY cheaper but is a bit weeker and is single stage). they also sell primer and body filler. a bit of your own labor, alot of sanding, and a craptastic HVLP can achieve better results than the other DIY jobs like rattle can or paint rollers. it just takes alot more time, but the more time you put in, the far better results you get.
i'd say do what you can where you can with what you have. honestly i am disappointed in my car's paint, and its not that bad, its just black so everything sticks out. do what you can to get it looking somewhat decent to "your standards" then get a good performance mod to make you grin when you hit that gas pedal. 4.10's would be a great start if you plan on staying N/A.

WOW!! Car looking good and Car looking normal is two different things. His car doesn't even look normal.. Ive seen cars like that where I live with "Farm Use" tags on it.. He needs paint and body work just to get his car looking normal not "good"...
