If it's power you're after, just take that money and build the V6 up. You'll be above stock/lightly modded GT power levels for less than the swap will cost you.

Jeeze you don't know what a cam is and you wanted to undertake a motor/auto-manual swap?

Your cam, in conjection with your crank, opens and closes valves when they need to be open/closed.

Aftermarket cam(s) have increased duration which is the degree of the crank as the valves are unseated. The only problem with too much duration is you lose low end torque. Most companies spec duration @ .50 which ultimatley tells you what RPM they will make power till.

There is also lift which is how much the valve is well... lifted... allowing for more air flow, but there are limitations because of piston to valve contact and limitations of strength in valve springs.

Questions, comments concerns?

also next step? a 8.8 inch rear end and some gears.... or just a supercharger. gogogo.

Auto to manual is costly. But for engine swaps in general for Mustangs... Remember that per generation, ALL Mustang variations (V6, GT, Shelby, Iacocca, Saleen, ETC...) are all made from the same body. So generally, any engine used in one of those cars will fit in any other.

Please note some assembly required.

while true... its not really true lol.... different k-members are often used(going from v6-gt and 5.0 to 4.6) and often the rear ends should be swapped to a larger more durable rear anytime you go from a v6/v8 or increase power. Stock sixxers have a 7.5 inch rear while 8s have 8.8 inch rears.

I just said it would fit. Didn't say it would be safe or work. Hence "some assembly required".

I was going to get someone to help/pay them to do it for me and learn some crap while they did it. my only concern is with it being an automatic V6, will putting the supercharger on it effect it in anyway.
