From what i hear the plenum is more of a restriction than the throttle body. I don't know if that's true, but that's what i've heard.

Since you will be doing a blower down the road i'd definitely do a 75mm or possibly a 78mm.

I liked the bbk 78mm throttle plenum combo. First its perfect for FI and with the AM discount its an unbeatable price

The plenum is the weak link; in fact the stock 65mm TB, combined with most any after market plenum, will outflow a 75mm TB on the stock plenum.

Also if you are running n/a there is no need for a TB larger than 70mm. Larger units will hurt charge velocity at WOT and high rpms, not really enough to matter however they will not add anything either.

More about all this here...

Sorry about the thread jack, but Cliffy, the bottom line is the screen for the MAF sensor housing is beneficial?

Yes, it keeps the air flow through the MAF laminar, meaning that the small bit of the total flow measured by the sensor better represents the total flow through the entire MAF housing--more about this here...

So I guess Accufab plenum and any 70mm or Stock TB is the best for N/A 4.6 2V?

The Accufab is very pretty, but pricey and will not outperform any other on an n/a 2V engine, as they just don't need any more than 475 cfm.

I have the Pro Products plenum and 70mm TB, and turned 262/305 rwHP/torque with modest bolt-ons and a tweaked tune.

Spend more if you like...
