Well it's finally gonna happen. Sunday some guys from work and I are going to install my new engine on Sunday. It's bout time too, tired of driving this smoky piece of shat around. I've got pretty all new everything going in as well: BBK shorties, Aluminum Flywheel, Spec 1 Clutch, new NGK TR55 plugs (thanks Jdan ), 180 t-stat, and SLP LM2's. Anyways I was writing to see if you guys had any recommendations on how to break in a new engine, clutch and flywheel. Any info is and will be greatly appreciated. Have a nice day!
Hammer the throttle drop the clutch at 6200RPM brake stand it then power shift 2nd hard try to brake stand 2nd if you can't catch it then power shift 3rd stomp the throttle until redline hit brakes. Repeat.

I wanted opinions on how to break it in... Not what headers to get. Anyways we got it in, and damn im sore. 12 hours [&o]. Nice to have an engine that runs smooth and has some get up and go. This aluminum flywheel will take some getting used to. Ya have to give some more gas when taking off, otherwise it'll die on ya. It's also the solution to your hanging idle problems. You have to have to shift fast if you wanna catch the rpm's before they drop to a 1000. The only thing that need to be changed was the oil pan and pick up (the oil pan was too big), and the oil dipstick (motor mounts were in the way). Other than that things went pretty smooth. These LM2's are just what I was looking for, they sound nice!
