the 4r70's are very stout, and with just a shift kit they would have no problems handling the same amount of power that a stock shortblock can handle. but anyways nice buy! i wish i could get something like that. the heads should be fairly easy. for the drivers side it'll be way easier to take an extra 20 minutes and get the master cylinder and **** outta the way.

Have you looked at it? Mine broke the coolant hose on the passenger side rear of the intake manifold. Same "sucking" sound and all the coolant ran out.... could be a cheap fix. No matter what that's a GREAT deal on that car. Even if it needs a whole motor that's a good deal.

Good news and bad news. Before I left for work this afternoon I pulled the intake tuff way and was going to do a compression test, and I found the #6 plug boot was melted and blown up around the coil...remvoed the coil and the plug was just laying there.
Tried a new plug and it wont thread in...got too close ot time ot leave to get up in there and see how bad the threads are ,but Im guessing the whole thign is hosed.
IS it possible to grease up a tap and do a timesert or keen sert or something like that?
Good news..its not the head gasket.. bad news, might be the same end result..haha
