Default Best stock replacement shocks?

So i'm in the process of fixing up all the probs in my car and one of the things I want to swap out are the noisy as **** Strange 10 way shocks. I don't really want to throw anymore money into my car so i'm looking for just an cheap/acceptable stock replacement that is quiet and works well for DD'ing.

I read that Gabriel Ultra's are really good and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them? For about $25 more, I can get my hands on some KYB GR2's but I heard those are also kinda noisy. Anyone know anything about them?

Thanks,
Brandon

I also heard that Fox body shocks work best on these cars that are lowered.

i have kyb gr2's on the rear of my 2000 and they are not noisy at all. either the correct shocks or fox shocks will work, i snagged a deal on a set of very low mile kyb fox shocks for my car so that's what i've got and no issues yet. but for the price of some kyb's, you could make all your money back plus some profit if you sell those strange's. they usually sell quick

Just out of curiosity how old are your Strange 10 ways OP? I've been looking at them, but being really noisy is one of the things i keep hearing.

I have the Tokico HP shocks and struts and they are pretty reasonably priced and make no noise that I know of

They are a cheap, quality replacement.

Are you lowered OP? You might have just ordered the wrong ones. For lowered cars you usually want to get the fox body ones. I made the mistake of ordering the regular sn95 10-ways for my 94 and they were terribly rough and noisy. My buddies car with the foxbody 10 ways had a nice quiet ride so in hindsight thats what I wish I had gone with. I ended up putting the tockico HPs in and the problem was fixed.

i think they're hit or miss if they make noise or not. I had the correct ones on my '95 and they were quiet and never had a problem with them. however my friend bought the same ones used and they are horribly loud.

oh damn, thats a freakin deal and a half then!

edit: o wait, seems koni direct has them for 204 for front struts, and 108 for rears. thats a total of 312. thats probably the best deal on 4 corners for stock style suspension. i really wish i could find out if the STR-T's would be any sort of good for coilover setups.

edit 2: searched again, tire rack has them even cheaper lol! 92 each for the fronts (192 a pair) and 51 each for the rear (102) for a total of 294$....
