Agreed to what Roush said. Really bro you'll still have unbelieveable stopping power if
^ Jazz said this over for a s197's guy but the facts still can be applied to new edges.
I will add on here though that: The rear calipers.... you can reuse. Go out and buy a rear cobra conversion kit. It includes everything you'll need. You don't need new rear calipers... they're the same type (unless they're needing replacement).
I recommend you save the money and read the sticky in this section called Upgrade Brakes ~ Speeding up slowing down. The ONLY thing you need to do for spectacular brakes is...
Pads
SS lines at all four corners
premium brake fluid ..... that is IT!
This will give you brakes FAR, FAR better than they are now and VERY heat resistant should you find the need to drop about 100 MPH very fast
I got ahead of myself here and didn't actually answer your question. The brembo kit would be of no real benefit on the street unless you did LOTS of hard stops in succession. For your described needs, this is VERY much a cosmetic upgrade, but they are cool. If the money is worth it, go ahead and get them. But if you WANT to stop just as good, 98% of the time, do the upgrades mentioned in the thread and will be MORE than happy with the results. Truth is, the OEM brakes are fine, until they get hot and where the trouble can REALLY begin. I have a story of just how important a nice set of brakes can be and is the last section of the brakes thread.
