Default ANOTHER PI heads question...... SORRY

if i bought a set of bare PI heads, what all would i need to install. These don't come with valves, springs, nothing but the bare heads. could i use my current valves and springs and whatever i need for the installation, or would i be better off finding a fully assembelled set of heads.

you would need every think from a Pi head, your valve springs whould not work as well if they did work at all, the npi cams have .500 lift the Pi cams have .550 lift. you would need Heads, Valves, Valve springs, Pi lower intake, Head bolts, Bolts that hold the the timing chain sprocket to the cam. (Exhaust, intake, heads, cam covers) Gaskets and probably more can any one help me whith what i forgot? lol anyways a lot. just get the whole set up unless you want bigger valves bigger cam and better springs. then that is up to you.

Good chance to throw some hot cams in.

Your lifters will work. May as well get some nice springs and retainers to hold those cams in.

yea if you are planning a buildup thats a good buy, seeing as there is no tear down, just build up. but you'd have lots of parts gathering to do. ford makes a head swap kit, wich comes with all the needed bolts and gaskets for swapping heads. and since you'd have to gather all the valvetrain parts up too, might as well get aftermarket ones and throw in a nice VT stage II or III cam.

if you arent prepared to spend a couple grand building up and installing these heads, find a set of complete used pi heads cams and intake. i got mine for $400. most of the time you can find them in the 400-800 dollar range, depending on demand, where you get them etc... ebay might be the easiest, but you'll have to fight other buyers. i got mine from a local GT owner in a local board classified section.
