Default Fel Pro or Ford intake manifold gaskets?

I'm going to replace my intake manifold in my 2001 Mustang GT. I bought the Ford Racing OEM replacement intake manifold.

The gasket set I have in hand are brand new Fel Pro.

Will these Fel Pro's work fine? Or are the Ford OEM gaskets better and will last any longer?

Thought I would ask the forum before I dig into this project during the upcoming weekend.

Thanks!

I've used the fel-pro brand with no ill effects. The only thing different is the color of the rubber rings, orange right? Some are blue like factory however. Either way, they will work

Fel-Pro is a high-quality vendor, I have used their gaskets for years--most recently when my intake manifold let go 1-1/2 months ago...

Thanks for the feedback guys!

@Cliffy - Did you put anything (RTV, etc.) on your intake gaskets or did you install them "dry"?

clean the surface of the head with some carb cleaner and a rag, and make sure the surface of the intake is clean. Lay the new gaskets down and install "dry". No rtv needed

Negative, no, nada--Danger Will Robinson!

That is one of the quickest ways to create problems with formed, ridged, rubber gaskets...

The only exception would be if you were attempting some "kludgy", gotta' fix it now, "act of desperation", repair where spots on one or both mating surfaces were damaged.

In such situations I have used RTV and other sealants to "close gaps" as needed--generally such repairs are short-lived, but they can buy you time, and every now and then last "forever"...
