Cranks no start

Theft light is on car cranks but doesnt start recently my ecu wiring harness caught fire I replaced it with a used one from the same year vehicle any suggestions?

Are you still using the same instrument cluster and PCM?

torment 04-11-2011 08:56 PM

Yes I am using the stock pcm and cluster I tried pulling check engine codes but their is no communication also I tried putting the stock tune on but sct does not communicate either

torment 04-11-2011 09:03 PM

Also the odometer reads -------- The fire was pretty close to the CCRM does anyone know of a way I can test this

Tuner most likely won't work because it's "locked" to the other PCM code. Until you get it unlocked it won't read the "new" pcm.

Also, the PATS system in the car is probably locked down until you get the dealer or a shop to confirm the change of the PCM...

Never Replaced the PCM just the harness

Oh, my bad. Was the donor ECm from the same type of tranny your car has? what was the build date? 2000/2001 there were some changes made to the GT's so while the
"model year" is the same, the production date can affect some of the connections or sensors.

Double/triple/quadruple check the wiring, is there +12V between pin 16 and pin 4 (ground) at the OBD2 port?

There is no "donor", he said he's using the "stock PCM and cluster"...

lol dayumit I see it now, no ECM/PCM change, just the Harness.... got it this time.

All of the wires match in color code? How did you secure the donor harness to the existing wires? Solder and heatshrink or did you splice them with butt connectors?? If you did butt connectors I'm going to with a loose connection.
