96 Mustang GT clutch question.

96 Mustang GT clutch question.
I own a 1996 Mustang GT with 85K, I'm the first and only owner since new and the car is, and still, in perfect running condition, as new as it gets, but will like to know, why the clutch pedal makes a squeaky noise every time I press it to change gears? The noise is coming from the pedal; is there a spring or something that needs to be oiled or adjusted? This never happened before, just untill few weeks ago.
There is no problems with the gears or transmission, they are working perfect and the fluid container is up to the normal mark.
Don't want to take it to the shop because they're probably going to tell me that it needs a "complete diagnostic" and charge me $300 for it.
Thanks in advance!...in case somebody knows and respond with a logic answer.

Is the noise continuous as long as the pedal is in or do you only hear it when the pedal is being pushed in or let out? If you hear the noise the whole time the pedal is in then it is most likely your throw out bearing is in need of replacement. If you only hear the noise when the pedal is moving then it just might be a lubrication issue with the pedal pivot point.

Well, I guess that's the "logic" response I was loocking for and I will lubricate the pivot point since I only hear it when the pedal is being pushed in. Thanks BLKSTANGER!
