96GT Crank No Start

96GT Crank No Start
So here's the problem:
Drove car a lot on Tuesday, no issues, many starts and stops.
Went to go to work Wednesday, car cranks and will not start. It was dark and I was in a hurry, so I hooked my wife's car up to it thinking maybe the battery had run down and just didn't have enough juice to start. Still no start.
Today, I went out and tried to start it and still no start. Checked the battery voltage and got 12.6 volts. Cleaned the terminals and inspected the wires. Saw no obvious issues. Still would not start.
Bought a new fuel filter and replaced the one on the car. Still no start.
Back probed the brown/pink wire on the inertia switch, closed trunk, dropped rear seats and turned the key. Probe light flashed for @2 seconds then went off. Tried to start the car, it cranked and caught for about 1-2 seconds then died.
This is where the car is now, cranks and "almost" starts. Tried timing it and pushing the gas pedal, but no go.
Seems like since it will crank over and over the starter should be good. With power to the fuel pump side of the inertia switch, the CCRM appears to be working. Have not checked the fuel pressure yet (have to buy a fuel pressure tester), but would a guess of Bad Fuel Pump be out of line at this point? Any other simple checks that I can do to narrow it down and eliminate other causes?
I have not heard the fuel pump, but I will have the wife try to start it and I'll listen from the fuel filler. A lot of ambient noise around my apartment...

No, but I thought that the FRPS was only on returnless fuel rails? Like the 99-04 GTs? Not throwing P190 code either. Not giving any of the normal signs of a bad fuel pressure regulator either...gas in oil, gas coming out tail pipes, black smoke, stuttering (when it was running), plugs look good...
