Battery keeps going dead...

The first thing you need to do before anything, is start the car, get a volt/ohm meter and check the voltage at the battery while it is running. It should read 14+ vdc.
If it is less than 14+ vdc, then either the alt or the wiring that the alt uses to charge the battery are messed up.
If it is 14+ vdc while running, you have something in the car draining your battery.
If you don't have a volt/ohm meter, go to radio shack and buy one. They are super cheap and a VERY handy thing to have in the tool box.

My new alternator wire came in today, it didn't fit. My factory wire has two wires running from it and a smaller connector while the one I ordered - http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...Regulator-Plug
Has three wires and a slightly larger connector. I've called every parts store in town, along with multiple Ford dealerships, none of them have the part or can order it for that matter. I really don't know what to do at this point, I figured it would be a simple fix.

Sorry for the triple post, but I figured I'd post an update in the event someone was wanting an outcome from all this.
Went to the local Ford dealership and picked up the proper (6G) alternator voltage plug, took me about 15min to install the new plug, battery light immediately shut off, and my lights stopped pulsating. : )
Car has been sitting for a week now and starts just fine, battery is taking a charge, so I now think it is safe to say - problem solved. Thanks for all the input, I really appreciate it, nothing worse then an electrical problem. Cheers!
