Default Rear brake question

I'm changing the rear pads on the 03 today and got up to the point of pushing the piston back in. This one doesn't seem to want to go back for me. I don't have the proper "T" handle tool but have always been able to just use this clamp that I have. Anyway, any suggestions as to why it won't budge is this normal on these? Even painted the brakes thinking I would be nice to her!
