The best 1/4" wheel spacers?
I need a set of the best 1/4" wheel spacers. Due to my 17x9 front wheels with a 14" coil over they rub the spring on turns. I have mr gasket spacers from advance auto and they make the car vibrate like it is out of balance. If I take them off it is smooth. They aren't hub centric either more of a universal. Any good ones out there that are smooth?

Be careful running ANY size spacer on OEM studs, as they are not very long as they are. You should have a MINIMUM of threads equal to the width of the studs. That means 10 threads is the least you should have, per industry/DOT standards. You may need to have some longer studs machined and installed into your hubs to be safe.

3" are gonna be too long, unless you use open-ended lug-nuts.
I can just about guarantee they will stick out past your wheel face and look real purrdy My recommendation would be to confirm minimum thread engagement, but prefer more then the minimum myself. I have 1/2" spacers out back on my ride, but had new race-grade studs machined to allow exactly 1" of threads per lug. This is a bit tedious when swapping wheels, but only do so a couple times a year.
In theory, you would want studs that are 1/4" longer than ones you currently have to accommodate thickness of spacer. See how many threads you have without spacers and do the math. It is a PITA to swap the studs, but I don't mess around with ANYTHING that has to do with mechanical safety of my ride.
As for which studs, I found the Moroso ones did not fit very well in my rear axles, so I had some custom made to my specs.
