Default 2002 Mustang GT body roll

Maybe it's just my imagination, or the fact that my car has 140K miles on it, but the suspension on my 2002 GT seems softer than what I would have expected. It handles well in general and is a very fun car to drive, but there seems to be a lot of body roll when going around a corner fast. In comparison to all the 70's Trans Ams I've owned there is a huge difference, the TA's went around a corner at a very flat attitude no matter how fast, but the Mustang leans quite a bit. I guess I just expected more considering how much newer the Mustang is. Is that normal, or is my suspension worn out after all those miles?

Are you still at stock ride height? You don't have to slam your car but a good set of lowering springs and good Shocks and struts will greatly eliminate the body roll

Body roll is best addressed via new springs, as my boy, Bra has mentioned. Beyond body roll issues, how far do you want to take any suspension upgrades?

... in other words:

What are the ULTIMATE goals for your ride?

I don't really want to get away from the stock set up, or even lower it, but if some stiffer springs would cure the lean, I would be cool with replacing them with some stiff springs in the next year or so. I don't like to lower a car because I like to go over bumps fast as well as corner fast. I don't really care how hard the ride is, I like to feel the road when I'm driving.

Hmmmm...

I don't know of any springs that will stiffen the ride, yet NOT lower it. Speed bumps are indeed the sworn mortal enemy of The VIXN, but my car is exceptionally low. One does not need to go so low with stiffer springs to improve your cornering. Lowering the car, depending on how much, WILL improve the cornering as well. So curious to ask if there are any other reasons you DON'T want it lower?

You may be a candidate for a stiffer sway bar, as I am due to my set-up. If Adam Ant (< little pun for my pepes ) about not lowering your car, I can recommend the MMRSB #5 from MM. I run this same bar and worth a peek.

welded full length subframes connectors and a front strut tower brace would also help.
