Clutch making 2 noises
My clutch makes a spring noise every time i push it down or let it up, sounds like some old worn out spring. Is there any place i can lube to quiet this down?
The other noise i recently acquired is that the clutch or some bearing makes a whining noise when my foot is completely off the clutch, it does it in gear or out of gear and goes away when i push the clutch down slightly. Would this be throwout bearing? pressure plate? pilot bearing? i dont really know.
I have adjusted the clutch witht he stock firewall adjuster, lift up on pedal and push that tab and it clicks and re-adjusts. I think these noises may have started after adjusting after some hard launches. Any suggestions on where or what to lube would be appreciated though.

TOB, and likely a well-worn clutch--neither will get better by itself, and there is no way to access the TOB (for lubrication or anything) without pulling the transmission.
I personally would do this sooner rather later so as to ensure not getting stranded somewhere, I also would do the "whole enchilada" (TOB, pressure plate, clutch disc, flywheel and pilot bearing) once the tranny is out.

Thanks for the replies. The sound seems to be loudest right when i 1st start my car then it seems to quiet down after a few miles.
im looking at some clutch kits though

is the release bearing the same thing as the throwout bearing?

Noises still here, sounds kind of like a rusty spring mixed with knife sharpening on a stone when i push down on the clutch, when my foot is off i just hear a minor whining or bearing noise it seems which seems to increase as rpms increase.
Clutch still works fine though and doesnt slip so its hard to justify spending a lot of money to fix some noises.
