Default chip and tune?

Ive finally converted from the darkside(z28) to my 04 gt, gotta say so far i love it. Sticking 4.10s in it this week the question i have is to chip or not to chip. I really have no experience with chips so what Benefits will i get from a chip and tune with my almost all stock GT with 4.10s?? should i do it or not?

I would put the money else where like suspension, Short Throw shifter or a nice exhuast setup. Congrats on the ride though bro...

If you are going to install gears your are going to want to get a tuner to fix the speedometer. Try americanmuscle.com. They have good deals on tuners and tunes.

Also a tune will benefit the auto trans better than the manual.

Welcome to the light side, and to the forum. Tuner is good cause it will correct speedo for the gears. Also if you get it through a place like American Muscle you can get new tunes every time you add more mods to the car. I wish it had been my first mod.
