Whining sound

Default Whining sound
When my car is at higher rpms it whines and its sounds close to that of a supercharger whine. Some of my friends think it is the power steering pump but i'd like some more opinions before i start messing with it. Thanks.

that or the water pump when it happened to me it was my water pump

I would bet it is your power steering pump, my 2002 mustang v6 made a similar sound when I first got it and it was the power steering. hope this helps.
