Default LT's on auto

i have seen so many conflicting reports on this and i would like to here from someone that knows for sure. like someone that has done it to their own. Im looking for long tubes but i have an auto. Is there a brand that will for sure fit an auto. my second question is.....with the price of long tubes and a shorty H would it be worth the money for the mods i have in my sig? thanks how much Hp could i expect?

Since i own a 5-speed i will let others who have done long tubes on a auto trans comment on the first part. With that in mind i will tell you what the before and after dyno said in my case...6 rwhp & 6 rwtq n/a, and 20 rwhp & 57 rwtq N20. Now mind you this was the same dyno that i've always used, and no timing or a/f adjustments were made for the n/a setup. The only thing i added was the long tubes. Was it worth it to me?? Yes, because i don't base everything on just peak dyno numbers. The car felt a little stronger in the mid range n/a, and seemed to rev a bit more freely up top. The nitrous speaks for itself lol.

The only ones I have found that will fit an auto are MAC LT's. Unless someone else knows another brand that will fit.

what brand do you have on your car wannabe?

Also, I personally know 2 people with lt's on auto cars, one has slp's the other has hookers. so both of those deff work. and the more expensive the headers are usually means the easier they are to install.

I have Mac. They are decent and had no fitment issues. If I had to do it again I would have went with better quality headers.

with the macs do you have to route the steering shaft thru the primary tubes? that is one thing i really dont want when/if I decide to get some lt's. as of now I'm leaning torwards slp's because they dont look to require the steering shaft to go thru them.

Yes, steering shaft goes through the primaries. I didn't like it at first but I haven't had any issues.

I just think it would be a big pain to get the shaft thru at first. after it's in i wouldn't be worried about it.
