My problem is on my drivers side the boot of the rack and pinion has a small hole in it. I was wondering could I just buy a brand new boot for the racked pinion and replace it instead of buying a complete rack and pinion. Also I wanted to know how hard is it to install like could I install the boot myself?

Yea you can, just go to carparts.comi think I saw it for like 2 bucks. As far as install its, super easy there's a clamp in the front and perhaps a zip tie in the back (for me that's what was there) the only thing is you have to take off your tie rod so I would measure where you have it at so you won't have to get it realigned.

Now I was told that boot doesn't really hold any fluid so could the leak be coming from there or is it a seal that I need replaced

Can't wait to get this fixed I'm so tired of putting in steering fluid

Correct, sounds like the seal where the inner tierod is bad.
