Sniper Tuner?

Sniper Tuner?
Ive got a chance to buy a used sniper tuner, I think it is a delta force model.
Complete with software, says its for 96-04 ford gas vehicles.
My only real question is, Ive only got a desktop...am I going to be able to do anything worth a crap without a laptop?
And is 200 a good price?

Unless you know what your doing I'd choose SCT or Diablo. Although Delta software is more percise and you can do some amazing things with it, you can also scew up your cars tune quickly.
200 bucks. It depends, does it come with everything?

does it come with atleast 1 bullett? you need a bullet with those tuners as for every new car you tune you use one bullet and they come new with 2. if it doesn't come with anything than pass. if it comes with atleast one i'd go for it.

IF it has been divorced from the previous owner's cat it will have both bullets--the only way to tell is to install the MultiLoader software, connect the interface to a PC, and then launch MultiLoader.
In the lower right corner of the display the version info and # of bullets will be displayed (this is from version 1.x, the newer 2.x display is similar):
One other thing, find out if it is a version 1.x or 2.x package--there should be a sticker on the interface, if the firmware is v15 or less it's a 1.x unit, if v20 or greater it's v2.x.
The other way to tell is by loading Special Forces, v1.x looks like this:
v2.x like this:
The v1.x interface cannot be used with the v2.x MultiLoader and vice versa--it (the v1.x box) cannot be upgraded to work with the new MultiLoader.
The good news is that for our cars the new v2.x does not do anything that the older software and interface cannot do...
