I bought a hyperstat from summit and I think the only thing in there is the actual thermostat itself.
Is it on the thermostat itself? I appreciate the help. Sorry about the dumb questions!

No, it's seperate from the thermostat, but a new one should come with it.

Sometimes its just a piece of higher grade cardboard tucked inside the thermostat packaging.

When you install a new theromostat you have to purchased the gasket seperate, its a small rubber o-ring costs a couple dollars, on the 3.8s its usually a paper one.
