Bucking issue at 5000 Grand
so i had my 99 gt tuned for a supercharged application put down pretty good numbers. But right around 5000 grand and 5psi it will starting bucking. it will not let me go above that, i need to shift. I was told its most likely spark blow out. Im running NGK tr6's the only problem is i dont remember what I gaped them at. Also at high rpms the battery light will come on, but as i let of it will turn off? Any ideas?

unless your gapped like a lawn mower or pushing round 750 800 hp you prolly wont be blowing out a spark...what you need to do is go back to your dyno guy and get it retuned correctly before you detonate it

Maybe you could detail the problem a little further? Is it always 5000 rpm? does gear matter? any history? has it ever worked and so forth. Maybe someone has seen a similar problem.

ya .32-.35 is average...no def dont think your blowing a spark out...unless you are gettin your power from a huge shot then yes your way undergapped....if you truly think its your plugs pull them and check them all those TR6's ususally dont come pregapped

it worked fine after the tune, it just started doing this maybe a week ago. its really only in 2nd gear and 3rd i cant get it to hit the rev limiter which i believe is set at like 5800-6000. As soon as the car hits 5000-5200 rpms its starts bucking and hesitating. I should be able to hit full boost which is like 9.7 psi in 2nd and 3rd but it wont let me go past 5000 rpms without bucking and hesitation. BLACKVENOM 01 what do you mean getting your power from a huge shot?

i have a ford focus svt 255 lph, with 42lb.bosch injectors. I'm a Vortech V2 SQ, intercooled, 90mm Mass air meter. I dont hear the belt slipping. I feel like if its fuel related I would have blown my motor already because I have pushed it.
