Unhappy HELP!! car dying randomly, wont crank back up!!!

To start: 2000 mustang GT, 170,000mi. nothing major replaced was running just fine.

Started fine leaving one location, arrived at second location and turned car off. 10 min maybe. Attempted to start the car again and nothing. Managed to get it jumped, and made it home (50mi). When I arrived home I pulled into my parking spot, and went to turn the car off to attempt to restart (just to make sure), and as I was reaching for the key the car just died..... Not sure what to do. The gauge (battery) didnt indicate low power or anything. It was very sudden.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance! Great community here!

Also, to add to that... no interior lights, no head lights, no electrical power at all, wont turn over at all..... . just confused by the lack of warning and the suddeness of the shutoff.

Have the alternator and batter tested, also check ground connections and the connection to the underhood fuse panel.

Check for corrosion on the battery cables. Sounds like the exact same thing that was happening to me when I first got my car. It kept dying and wouldn't start up at random times and had me confused. So I scrubbed corrosion off, replaced battery terminal clamps and started up just fine.
