more progress finally got the other side finished up!!

few of the GM boys lending me a hand, waiting to see exactly how fast a ford can be (not a biggie, they're both into trucks and old school pushrod power (monte carlo SS' and 3rd gen Camaro's no LT/LS garbage). they had fun looking at the thing and trying to put the followers in rofl

and here it is all finished!!!

just waiting on the headers and starter to drop it in, then a few more odds and ends and it should be good to fire!!

BTW, thats all the motors going to have on it, no PS, no AC so the belt will be nice and short!

cant wait getting so close!!

That is why I put the engine/tranny/LT combo in as one unit. Putting them on with the engine already in is a pain in the ***. You would probably be better off dropping the sub frame to get em in.

Mine did too, just take the shaft out, it's pretty easy. Just an 11MM bolt at the rack and a 10MM inside the car and it slides right out. Once everything is in, then you put it back.

Until you have a tubular K-member this is the best way to do it IMO. Assemble the entire thing (engine/trans/longtubes) outside of the car, pull the steering shaft and install in one swift motion.

Or you can just buy a tubular K member and get the job down in about 45 minutes.

still couldnt get the damn bolts started let it sit for ab out 3 days...

pulled my head out of my *** (after i almost dropped kicked my cars the other day) moved the headers over a few inches, put the bolts in the heads, cut the heads off the bolts, put the gaskets on, then found some 8X1.25 bolts and voila problem solved...
