MACH 460 Audio squeal?
 

Does any one have the problem of a high pitch squeal coming out of the tweeters in the Mach 460 system? It seems to make the sound and parallels the engine rpm's. It is beyond annoying and aside from unplugging it anyone got a fix for it?

I don't have a fix but I do know what you are talking about, I have the same problem (and have had it for at least 50k miles). I've heard that it is somehow an side effect of an alternator that is on the verge of going out but I find that hard to believe considering I've had it on and off for 50k miles. I would love to have an answer for it though, sure is annoying having to restart the car to get it to stop

Sounds almost like a loose ground somewhere. I am new to mustangs but not to car audio. 99% of the time it is a loose or faulty ground wire. I would start there.

I guess i will try to find a ground problem, big issue is the factory wiring.
Ya machracer11, mine started about the 30k ago, no real issues with alternator or battery I will keep an eye on it though, first ive heard of the alternator causing it but not ruling anything out now.
