sorry but it takes a built supercharged 4.6 to get close to what i did with my 331 and others do on 347/363 motors... and thats just NA for the pushrods, not even throwing some juice in the top...

not mention they're a little lighter and have 1000X more room to work on too...

sorry i love my 4.6 but...

5.0(pushrod)> 4.6
Here's my beef with 5.0's... cracked blocks. you just can't push em with as much power as the mod motors without doing a good bit of bottom end work. i do love the way pushrods react to breather mods, you DEF get more for your money in the modifications dept.

how is that any different than a mod motor? actually a stock pushrod bottom end will handle 500-550rwhp, mods are at the limit around 450rwhp so...

and when you start beefing up the internals, the price of good mod rotating assembly is about the same as a stroker kit AND new block for a pushrod, so in reality the cost is close to the same, but the same amount of work will get you more on the pushrod in the end.

about the ONLY thing a mod has over a pushrod engine is the factory block is a good deal stronger, and they will rev higher than the pushrod ever will (in a street build, race cars are race cars...)

thats what i was referring to. you dont hear much about cracked blocks on mod motors, 5.0's on the other hand...
