Almost sounds like you have a bad TOB, the stock quad is designed to prevent slack, even if your cable lengthened itself. If all else fails and it IS a bad TOB just buy a return spring kit Can't remember the company the sells them just google it. It will pull your clutch fork back and keep your TOB from riding clutch fingers which in turn does not let your TOB heat up and squeek. You can drive on a bad TOB for 10K pluss with return spring.
if it is a bad TOB, then i must have one as well, and have driven on it for at least 16k miles that i know of. however, when i replaced the quadrant, i noticed that the plastic one was very worn down, and did contribute to some of the problems i was having with the clutch pedal. either way, the quad and fwa are great upgrades from stock.
well i do thank you for the info. i thought maybe my clutch fork was bent or something. disengagement has always been a bit high, and even more so before the fwa
nah man, dont have the stock quadrant anymore. i thought thats what you might have been talkin bout. theres no ratchet on after market quads, they eliminate the need for one
