Default cylinder misfire problem.. C.O.P.S (Ignition Coils) and sparkplugs

code being thrown code p0354rimary/sec. ignition coil fault D

I went ahead and changed out the cop on number 4/D and all new 8 spark plugs .50 gapped motorcraft platinum oems

still getting the code thrown, and a seeming misfire..... what now???? really a fuel injector causing this ?? or... Cliffyk and tech gurus anything you can throw my way thank you! car motor is stock! -Dev1

its also throwing me the typical p1000 code, SES light popped on off seemingly. so diagnosed best could, I also checked wiring for spark, etc..

Cam or crank sensor. My ranger was throwing the random misfire code (P400 i think) and it was crank sensor.

Here is what the shop manual says about P0354, work the list from the top down.

Also, as Bmitchell' said the cam/crank position sensors can go bad and create EMI and RFI that messes with the PCM's mind--there is no reliable way the test them with typical tools, so swap 'em out--do the crank sensor first...

I did both of mine for $30 when i had my misfire problem, granted mine was a coil.

how would I go about doing those first 3 steps in that manual... fuse tests?

so for tmrw what tests should I do.... crank sensor swap? fuse tests?

whats base price on crank sensors and cam sensors?

I really don't know what to do next I want the gt running well! gt stuttered early when i had it idling and sounded normal but then lost it and when back to the boaty hesitant bog its making now....THANKS AGAIN!

can someone verify for me the cylinder order.. cyl. 4 is back passenger side if facing motor right?? which is also known as D. I couldnt find a diagram with letters like a b c d... only diagrams with 1 2 3 4 etc..

number 1 is at the front of the car on the passenger side so:

*update, last night I traced my pcm wiring harness to the cops wiring and it was all good. the teeth on the plugs were good..
