Hi,

I have a 2003 Mustang GT. Recently my radio stopped illuminating when the headlights are off. When I turn them on the illumination works fine. Any thoughts on this.

AFAIK the switching between the dimmable (lights on) illumination and the lights off "daytime" illumination is internal to the head unit, likely controlled by its microprocessor and a semi-conductor switch of some sort.

Short story, it is likely a problem with the head unit, not a fuse/external switch or the like.
