Default 1999 Mustang GT Tune Up

So I got a 1999 Mustang GT for $2000, I would say my neighbor gave me a good deal. Anyway I want to do a full tune up before I start driving it. I can do most of the stuff myself I wanted to start with the oil change. I want to go with Royal Purple just that I dont know much about the Weight/Viscosity numbers. The car has around only around 40k miles since the engine was swapped recently, same 4.6L (stock) went back in there. Im going to start the search for an intake, not sure whether to go cold air or short ram or even what brands are reputable. If you guys have any suggestions on parts for the rest of the tune up feel free to put em down.
Thanks in advance,

Carlo

If you buy an intake make sure it is CARB certified if you plan on passing a smog test. 5/20 or 5/30 on the oil.

These cars came with cold air intakes from the factory, an aftermarket intake will not get you and gains in horsepower or gas mileage so if you get one its for pure looks alone. As far as the tune up goes, Plugs, COP boots, fuel filter, air filter, change all fluids.

radiator flush, tranny flush, maybe power steering and brakes if you feel like it.. make sure you have the upgraded intake manifold. to check this, you engine should look just like the engine pictured below. notice the aluminum bracket directly behind the alternator (in the picture, it looks like the aluminum bracket is on either side of the alt). if you have the older manifold, that will be black plastic, just like the rest of the manifold, which is not good, very prone to cracking and leaking.
